A new 100-bed Premier Inn hotel is set to be developed at the £150m Bridgwater Gateway business park in Somerset.
The hotel will be located on one of the road frontage plots on the southern side of the entrance to the 100-acre site, off J24 of the M5 motorway.
Paul Smith, acquisition manager for Premier Inn, said: "We're delighted to be developing a site at the Bridgwater Gateway Business Park. Bridgwater is a great location for us and we have been looking for a suitable site in the area for some time.
"We are investing £8.6m in the new hotel, which will create 32 year-round jobs, and we will be working closely with Bridgwater Gateway to deliver the hotel."
Phil Wade, development manager for Bridgwater Gateway, said: "We are delighted Bridgwater Gateway has been chosen as the setting for their latest hotel, and we know it will play an important role in meeting huge demand for hotel rooms in the area as a result of factors such as construction of Hinkley Point C power station, and the proximity of Bristol Airport."
Bridgwater Gateway combines new office and industrial space with hotel and local facilities in a landscaped environment of over 100 acres, just of J24 M5 motorway. Colliers International has been appointed as commercial property agent for the scheme.
The first phase of will feature a range of new office and commercial buildings, together with a 150-bed, four-star hotel with conference facilities that will be in addition to the Premier Inn.
