Haley Engineering

William Haley Engineering was founded in 1986 and is part of the Haley Group; a family owned business and is one of the most advanced steelwork manufacturers in the country. Using a state-of-the-art manufacturing process, the company produces steel structures for a huge range of buildings in a variety of business sectors.

William Haley Engineering employs 135 people, making them one of the largest steelwork fabricators in England. Their prime location in East Brent close to junction 22 of the M5 allows them to work all over the country. They have a combined factory / office building of 5000 square meters and a 1 ha site. William Haley Engineering has the capacity to output 6,000 tonnes of steel per year and has been involved in some of the UK's biggest recent steel projects.

The company is also benefiting from its close proximity to Hinkley Point C and has teamed up with other local metal fabrications suppliers to bid for work related to the project worth tens of millions of pounds.

Bill Haley explains, “We have formed a steelwork fabricators group who have all come together to share knowledge, experience and marketing. Although we’re all engaged in steelwork, we specialise in different things so we complement each other, which is good because it means we can cover all the demands they have at Hinkley for metalwork – and beyond as there will be other power stations following on from Hinkley too.”
